LBH Masyarakat
LBH Masyarakat is a leading human rights organization that provides free legal services for people who use drugs (including children) and people facing the death penalty and execution (including drug offenders and women drug mule), and advocates for a humane drug policy. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, LBH Masyarakat also provides free legal services and undertakes legal empowerment for marginalized groups, such as people living with HIV, people who use drugs, sex workers, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer people, incarcerated people (i.e. detainees and prisoners), and people with mental illness. LBH Masyarakat regularly provides legal and human rights training for these communities and trains their member to be community paralegals. LBH Masyarakat also undertakes strategic legal and policy advocacy on issues related with the interests of those prioritized communities as well as people facing the death penalty and/or execution, through research, analysis, and public campaigns.
