Hablando de África – Seguimiento al taller de la sociedad civil sobre políticas de drogas en África Occidental
El principal fin del taller era desarrollar la capacidad de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil en la región respecto a temas relacionados a políticas sobre drogas, prevención y tratamiento del abuso de drogas, reducción de daños, aspectos de seguridad y gobernabilidad, e incidencia efectiva. In February 2015, the International Drug Policy Consortium, the West Africa Commission on Drugs, the West Africa Civil Society Institute, with the support from USAID, Open Society Institute for West Africa and the Kofi Annan Foundation, hosted a drug policy workshop in Accra, Ghana. The main aim of the workshop was to develop the capacity of civil society organisations in the region on issues related to drug policy, drug prevention and treatment, harm reduction, security and governance, and effective advocacy.
Mohamed Adamou, Founder and CEO of the West Africa Behavioural Health Addiction and Recovery Management, Dr. Shahiva Labi, COnsultant with the African Development Bank and political commentator, and John Ofehansa, FOunder and Publisher of the Africa Briefing Magazine, were invited to discuss the initiative on Talking Africa.
